Myasthenia gravis is an incurable autoimmune disease of the acetylcholine coupling, which mostly presents itself as overall muscle weakness in the body, and therefore most people with myasthenia gravis lead a sedentary lifestyle. Such a lifestyle leads to a decrease in muscle strength, which is one of the consequences of myasthenia gravis. This systematic review includes research showing the results of physical therapy, strength training, respiratory training, balance training, and a questionnaire on the involvement of people with myasthenia gravis (disease severity IIa and IIb according to the MGAF scale) in physical therapy in order to improve the symptoms of the disease. All the papers show positive results of the performed therapy, which are manifested by an increase in muscle strength, an increase in balance, a decrease in fatigue and a subjective feeling of a reduction in the symptoms of the disease. However, data indicates the lack of information of people with myasthenia gravis in Croatia, which is the result of a small number of people who perform physical therapy for the purpose of improving the symptoms of myasthenia gravis. The research described in this paper all showed positive results of exercise, and it can be concluded that people with myasthenia gravis can and should engage in physical therapy just like healthy adults.
